Stars in the Sky Hampshire is an organisation for adults with learning disabilities run by people with learning difficulties.

The committee leaders are voted for by the members and they remain in position for 6 months. The decision for them to carry on is put to vote again by the members six months later. The role of the committee leaders is to make sure all new members are looked after and made to feel welcome, to advocate for other members at committee meetings and to play an active role in the running of the organisation. They are also available to answer any questions you may have regarding the agency.

Mandie plays an active role in all stars events, she is particularly very good at making all new members feel welcome, she is a warm caring an easy to approach person who goes out of her way to support all members. Mandie is an exceptional person with very good communicative skills she advocates well for other members and is a trusted member of the organisation.

Carron plays an extremely important role within the organisation she works on a weekly basis at the Stars office on a voluntary basis and performs her office duties with the utmost confidence and efficiency. Carron never lets anyone down she is a well respected member of the group and very popular with the other members.

Nicole Hamerton is the Hampshire regional coordinator for Stars Hampshire. Her role is to support members to develop and sustain relationships and accomplish their goals i.e signposting employment, business ideas and educational goals.

Nicole also ensures that funding continues for Stars in the Sky on a yearly basis. Joint partnership working with Hampshire Learning Disability Development Fund, Portsmouth partnership board and Mencap.
